Welcoming new recruits to NIAS

10th May 2024

Pictured are Mark Cochrane (Assistant Director of Operations), with Sean Kelly (Clinical Education Manager), Jacqueline Franklin and Mark Anderson (Clinical Training Officers) and a group of new recruits to NIAS. These new recruits are a mixed-skill group of EMTs/AAPs, Qualified Paramedics and Newly-Qualified Paramedics, both Permanent and Bank . They will take up posts in Omagh and Derriaghy Stations, and Bank shifts across NI for those Bank staff.

This enthusiastic and motivated group of clinicians spent 3 weeks at NIAS HQ, finishing 24th April, under the tutelage and guidance of our Clinical Training Officers to introduce them to NIAS and to prepare them for their operational roles. They also benefitted from an Induction programme that included subject-matter experts delivering sessions in their field of expertise, such as Infection Prevention & Control, Quality Improvement, DATIX/SAI, Safeguarding, REACH, Pharmacy, Health & Safety, Pathways, RMC, EAC and several others like Violence & Aggression.

We wish them every success and happiness in their future careers and it has been a pleasure getting to know them.
