Primary One become Paramedics

Primary one pupils posed outside of NIAS ambulance

13th March 2026

Pupils at Holy Cross Girls’ School in Belfast had the chance to step into the shoes of frontline ambulance staff when NIAS paid a special visit to their class.

Tiernan and Dom visited the girl’s P1 class, giving the young pupils a chance to explore the inside of an ambulance, try on an oxygen mask, use a stethoscope and wrap bandages. They also got the chance to try on NIAS uniforms, including the high vis and a helmet. The feedback from staff at the school was that the girls loved this experience and found it very worthwhile.

Huge thank you to Tiernan and Dom for taking the time to attend the school and also to Holy Cross Girls’ School for welcoming us.
