NIAS Ambulance Crew
s are made up of 2 staff, a combination of Paramedics and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs). Crews will respond to a variety of calls, but they are mainly emergency situations where the patient’s life is at risk.
All of our ambulance crews are well trained to deal with a range of life-threatening illnesses and injuries, ensuring our patients receive the greatest care.
Paramedics receive further training, qualifying them to carry out invasive procedures at the scene. They are also licensed to dispense and administer some drugs.
