Goodbye and Well Done to ACA 22!

30th March 2026

On Friday 26th March 2026, the Clinical Education Department held a closing ceremony for a cohort of Student ACAs (Ambulance Care Attendants) who have been in training with us for the last 6 weeks. This group have worked hard throughout their programme and displayed professionalism and kindness.

They have been supported by a fantastic faculty of Clinical Training Officers led by Course Director Mark Anderson ably assisted by Martin Mullan, Jacqueline Franklin, Charlie McCourt and Yvonne Craig. These newly qualified ACA’S will now enter frontline duties within the NIAS Scheduled Care Service across Northern Ireland.

At today’s closing ceremony Clinical Education Manager Sean Kelly closed the course, commending the faculty and students for their achievements.

As well as completing their studies, these students have raised an amazing £250 in the last few weeks for Marie Curie, to improve the lives of those living with cancer and those caring for people who have cancer. What a wonderful gesture for them to make as they leave our department. We are very proud of them all and wish them the very best for their future ahead.
