2nd February 2026
We are excited to welcome another new group of Newly Qualified Paramedics, Qualified Paramedics & Qualified EMT’s to our ambulance service.
Included within this group are some of the newly qualified paramedics from the 2nd intake of Ulster Universities inaugural BSc in Paramedic Science.
They have completed a 4-week intensive Clinical Induction Program led by Clinical Training Officers Sean McGeown (Course Director), Jacqueline Franklin, Stephen McCusker and Charlie McCourt.
The NQP’s will remain within the Clinical Education Department for another 4 weeks whilst they undertake their Emergency Driving Course and work towards obtaining their CERAD Emergency Driving Qualification.
As they all transition from The Clinical Education Department environment to their new operational role within NIAS your support and guidance will be invaluable especially for our NQP’s in helping them grow into confident, capable practitioners who deliver exceptional care to our communities by ensuring assessment and referral to appropriate care pathways.
