On August 27th staff from SE Division, organised by Dave Buchanan (Paramedic, Newtownards) spent some well-earned downtime enjoying the day Kayaking on Strangford Lough. The event was supported by the Dragons Den project and facilitated by the Health, Wellbeing and Peer Support Team. The day was very much enjoyed by all who attended:
“I really enjoyed kayaking. After some initial nerves about trying something new and the downpour of rain, it was amazing to get out on the water. It is great to do something completely unrelated to work with NIAS colleagues and focus on supporting each other, having a laugh and enjoying the sights and sounds of the Strangford Lough. I definitely felt recharged and refreshed afterwards and would recommend it to everyone.”
