It has been a busy and rewarding week for the Community Resuscitation Team, with several important community engagement sessions focused on lifesaving awareness and education.
On the evening of Monday 23 June 2025, we held an awareness session at the Mary Peters Track in Belfast.
Tuesday 24 June 2025, we delivered a session for a women-only group from an ethnically diverse background. The session was extremely well attended, and we will be running more of these sessions in conjunction with our community partners.
Thursday 26 June 2025, we were honoured to be invited to Strabane Academy, where we facilitated three sessions with approximately 25 students in each. The students were raising funds towards a community defibrillator, and gave Gareth and Bonny from the Resus Team the honour of picking the winner of a competition naming the mascot. The warm welcome we received from both staff and students was greatly appreciated, and I’m sure our paths will cross again.
