Introducing New Cohort of Clinical Staff to NIAS (002)

12th November 2025

We are delighted to welcome a new group of Newly Qualified Paramedics, Qualified Paramedics & Qualified EMT’s to The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service.

Included within this group are many newly qualified paramedics from the 2nd intake of Ulster University’s inaugural BSc in Paramedic Science.

They will now all now complete a 4-week comprehensive induction program which is designed to help them acclimate to our organisation, procedures, and equipment, and where required they will complete 4-weeks of intensive driver training to enable them to obtain their CERAD Emergency Driving Qualification.
We understand that starting a new role can be both exciting and challenging. Be assured that you are joining a supportive team, and we are all committed to providing you with the resources, mentorship, and development opportunities you need to thrive.

As they transition from The Clinical Education Department environment to their new operational role within NIAS your support and guidance will be invaluable especially for our NQP’s in helping them grow into confident, capable practitioners who deliver exceptional care to our communities by ensuring assessment and referral to appropriate care pathways.
