Who Can Become a CFR Volunteer?
Becoming a CFR is an excellent opportunity for people who want to help their local community or give something back, by making a real difference to people’s lives. Whether you’re motivated by personal experience, a desire to support neighbours, or simply wish to contribute meaningfully, CFRs can play a direct role in saving lives in the community they live.
Volunteers must:
- Be physically fit to fulfil the role
- Hold a full driving licence and have access to a car
- Be aged 18 or over
- Agree to an Enhanced Access NI check
- Have a sympathetic, caring nature
- Commit to initial and ongoing training
Joining an Existing Scheme
If you’d like to get involved, you can contact your local CFR Scheme to check their recruitment status.
Setting up a New Scheme
If your area currently has no CFR Scheme and you are interested in setting one up, please get in touch with the Community Resuscitation Team and a Community Resuscitation Officer will be in touch with further information.
