Huge congratulations to Megan Rodgers and Calum Hanna who picked up a joint award for Exceptional Pre-registration Student at the Ambulance Leadership Forum awards ceremony last night in Leeds.
Megan and Calum jointly created the first ever Student Paramedic Society in Northern Ireland, with the aim to create a space for students and the wider pre-hospital care community to share learning opportunities, network, and build new relationships. Megan and Callum worked to create an offer of events that centred around wellness and wellbeing, alongside developing learning opportunities for the entire NI healthcare community through partnership working with national organisations, like the College of Paramedics. This resulted in the co-production of Critical Care Conferences which were well attended by students and healthcare staff. The dedication and tenacity demonstrated by them both, in creating the thriving Society, has created a rich legacy for future cohorts of student paramedics to build upon.
Well done to you both.
