27th September 2023
Since April 2022, NIAS EAC (Emergency Ambulance Control) have been working towards accreditation as a centre of excellence with the International Academy of Emergency Dispatch (IAED). In January 2023, NIAS received this prestigious title and on Wednesday 20th September we got to celebrate it with EAC colleagues from all roles.
Holding the title of Accredited Centre of Excellence recognises the high standard of care provided by our EAC team, the dedicated work of our audit and training team and the management structure within NIAS. There were several components that played a role in EAC earning this recognition; the skills of our staff, their hard work and dedication to patient care, their compassion for others and their ability to work well as a team. Each role is a valuable cog in what we do and without one, it just wouldn’t work.
On Wednesday 20th September 2023, NIAS were proud to host an event celebrating the staff who work in Emergency Ambulance Control. The EAC team gathered to celebrate NIAS EAC being recognised as an Accredited Centre of Excellence by the International Academy of Emergency Dispatch (IAED). As part of this event, Clare McVeigh our service user feedback manager, relayed some of the excellent compliments received by our callers and patient’s who have been supported by our EAC staff. The focus of the event was recognition and thanks. We also got the opportunity to recognise some of the awards earned by Emergency Medical Dispatchers over the past few years.
NIAS Management team are extremely proud of our team in EAC for earning this recognition and continuing to maintain this excellent standard of care.
