We want to, on behalf of NIAS, offer huge congratulations to GP Stephen Reaney, who was awarded the MBE for voluntary service to NIAS. Stephen has long since provided this support as a BASICS doctor, often turning up at serious RTCs to provide lifesaving medical interventions and assistance alongside NIAS Crews.
Stephen has also devoted much of his free time providing voluntary aid in developing countries and is also a member of the UK’s Emergency Medical Team which provides direct assistance at some of the world’s major catastrophes.
At home he provides support at motor sport events and has acted as a director for cross community charities.
Congratulations Stephen on this well-deserved award.
