Today we share in the celebration of International Paramedics Day. We would like to thank every paramedic for the vital role they play in caring for the people of Northern Ireland, in often challenging circumstances. We also recognise the role of colleagues who work alongside paramedics to support them to provide the highest quality of care possible, including, for example, our EMT, AAP, ACA and Control employees. The theme of this year’s International Paramedic Day is ‘What Paramedics Do’, and here in NIAS paramedics make valuable contributions in an array of frontline clinical and non-clinical roles, we thank all paramedics in all areas of the organisation for the work they do, and we look forward to playing our part in the growth of paramedicine within Northern Ireland.
