“This is my 30th year in the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service and still every day is different, involving a range of diverse challenges and opportunities. My current position involves me working alongside a fantastic team whose job it is to ensure that we are prepared to respond to large scale emergencies or incidents that require a specialist level of ambulance response.
I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to develop my career within the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, a career which has given me the opportunity to break stereotypes and demonstrate that woman have a vital role to play in the service.
I hope that the strong and resilient leadership within the service inspires other women to pursue a career in the ambulance service – the best job in the world.”
